Why Are You Leaving Your Job?

TL;DR: This question is a trap only if you make it one. Stay factual, forward-looking, and never badmouth your current employer.

Frame it around growth, not escape

Even if you're leaving because of a bad situation, frame your answer around what you're moving toward — new scope, new skills, new industry — rather than what you're running from.

Never criticize your current employer

Even valid complaints read as a red flag to an interviewer wondering what you'll say about them someday.
