What Interests You Most About This Position?

TL;DR: Reference specific elements of the job description, not generic enthusiasm.

Get specific

Point to a particular responsibility, project type, or challenge mentioned in the posting, and explain why it genuinely appeals to you based on your background.

Connect it to something you've actually done

"I'm especially drawn to the cross-functional scope of this role — in my last position I spent most of my time bridging product and sales, and this posting has that same dynamic built in." Specifics like this are hard to fake and easy to remember.

What flat answers sound like

"I think this would be a great opportunity for growth" says nothing an interviewer hasn't heard a hundred times. If your answer could apply to almost any job posting, it needs another pass.
