How to Show Communication Skills on a Resume

TL;DR: "Strong communicator" as a bullet point proves nothing — show it through results instead.

Show, don't tell

Instead of listing "excellent communication skills," describe a specific instance: presenting to executives, writing documentation adopted company-wide, or leading cross-functional alignment meetings.

Quantify the reach or impact

"Presented quarterly results to a 40-person leadership team" or "wrote onboarding documentation used by 200+ new hires" proves the skill far more convincingly than the adjective alone.
