How to Quantify Achievements on a Resume

TL;DR: Numbers make a resume more credible and easier to scan, even when the exact figure is an estimate.

Look for numbers you already have

Team size, budget, percentage change, time saved, and volume handled are almost always available if you look back through past reviews or reports.

Estimate honestly when exact numbers aren't available

"Approximately" or "an estimated" before a reasonable, defensible figure is better than no number at all — just make sure it's a genuine estimate, not an exaggeration.
