Good Questions to Ask at the End of an Interview

TL;DR: The questions you ask are often weighted as heavily as the answers you gave — generic questions leave a flat final impression.

Ask about the role, not just the company

"What does success look like in this role after the first 6 months?" shows you're already thinking about performance, not just perks.

Ask something only they can answer

"What's been the biggest challenge for whoever was in this role before?" gets a specific, honest answer that generic research can't surface.

Avoid asking about salary or PTO first

Save compensation questions for later in the process, once mutual interest is established.
