How to List Certifications on a Resume

TL;DR: Placement depends on how central the certification is to the role you're targeting.

Highly relevant certifications go near the top

If a certification is central to the job (e.g., a PMP for a project manager), it belongs in the summary or a dedicated section near the top.

Less critical ones go in a dedicated section

A simple "Certifications" section near the bottom works for credentials that support but aren't central to your target role.
