Strong Action Verbs to Use on a Resume

TL;DR: Varying your verbs and leading with strong, specific ones makes a resume noticeably easier to read.

Lead with the verb, not a repeated "responsible for"

"Responsible for managing a team" is weaker than simply "Managed a team of 8." Cut the throat-clearing phrase and lead with the action.

Match the verb to the level of impact

"Launched," "negotiated," and "restructured" signal more ownership than "assisted with" or "helped" — use the stronger verb when it's accurate.
