How to Write a Two Weeks' Notice Letter

TL;DR: Keep it short, professional, and free of any grievances, even if you're leaving on bad terms.

What to include

Your intended last day, a brief thank-you, and an offer to help with the transition. That's it — this isn't the place for detailed feedback about the company.

A simple template

"Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from [Company], effective [date, two weeks out]. Thank you for the opportunity to work here. I'm happy to help however I can to ensure a smooth transition."

Deliver it in person first

Where possible, tell your manager directly before sending the written letter — hearing it secondhand or via email first can unnecessarily damage the relationship.
