Wireless Network Architect
An opportunity is available for an experienced Wireless Network Architect to join the Infrastructure Network team. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance wireless network solutions, with a specific focus on Aruba technology.
This is a full-time, remote position in the U.S. The salary range is $121,264 – $169,020 per year, plus an annual bonus incentive.
Role Summary and Aruba Architecture Mandate
This is a hands-on technical role that requires deep expertise in wireless networking and the ability to serve as a consultant, working closely with clients to translate their needs into detailed, tailored network designs. The Architect will drive the full lifecycle of wireless network deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and troubleshoot wireless networks using Aruba technology. Create detailed network designs based on client requirements.
- Site Assessment: Conduct site surveys and RF analysis to identify optimal locations for access points and other wireless networking equipment.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients during the deployment of wireless networks.
- Architecture Strategy: Maintain a strong understanding of network architecture and design principles and stay up-to-date with the latest wireless networking technology and best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and customer service.
Required Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in large enterprise wireless environments, a proven track record with Aruba products, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Wireless Network Architect or a similar role in large enterprise environments.
- Technology Expertise (Required):
- Extensive experience with Aruba products and solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of wireless networking technologies and standards.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and design principles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, CS, or a related field OR 5 additional years of relevant experience.
- (Note: Alternate requirements include an Associate’s/Bachelor’s with 2 years of experience, or 7 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.)
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Strong communication skills.
- Travel: Ability to travel as needed.
- Preferred: Healthcare Information Technology experience is preferred but not required.
