Bentley Systems, a world-leading software company providing solutions for architecture, engineering, and construction, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer. This role is primarily responsible for providing expert technical support for Bentley’s structural engineering software, specifically STAAD.Pro and STAAD Foundation Advanced.

This is a Full-time, Home-based (Remote) position in the US, expected to work 40 hours per week.

Role Summary and STAAD Support Mandate

This engineer will serve as the primary technical contact for users of Bentley’s STAAD products, requiring a blend of technical expertise, troubleshooting acumen, and collaboration with product development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide technical support to users through Web, Phone, and Email on STAAD products like STAAD.Pro and STAAD Foundation Advanced.
• Troubleshooting & Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve user issues quickly and accurately to drive user satisfaction and product usage.
• Product Development Liaison: Help in developing the product by conveying user feedback to the product team through logging of bugs and enhancement requests.
• Prioritization & Coordination: Coordinate with Development, QA, and Product Management teams to prioritize bug fixes.
• Knowledge Creation: Create and edit knowledge articles to keep them current, and use them to support users.
• QA & Presentations: Test a product or a feature before a release and carry out on-site/web-based technical presentations to users.

Required Experience and Technical Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a background in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a foundational understanding of design codes and industry modeling practices.

• Education (Mandatory): Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or equivalent training and experience.
• Structural Knowledge (Required):
  • Knowledge of US steel & concrete design codes.
  • Knowledge of building modeling, factory shed modeling & design would be preferred.
• Industry Experience (Preferred): 1–3 years of prior experience in a Structural Engineering project.
• Software Experience (Advantage): Experience with STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, ETABS, SAP2000, or RISA would be an advantage.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & writing), and a self-motivated, proactive desire to learn.
