Technical Support Engineer (NAMER) – Vanta (Remote)
Vanta is the leader in automated trust and security compliance, helping businesses monitor their security continuously and prove it with ease. This Technical Support Engineer (TSE) role is a high-level Tier 3/4 escalation position. You will act as the final technical authority within the support organization, resolving complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, automated security monitoring, and deep API integrations for enterprise-grade customers.
- Compensation: $107,000 – $126,000 + Equity
- Location: Remote (U.S., working 8 AM – 5 PM EST)
- Experience: 4+ years in SaaS support; 2+ years in Tier 3/4 support.
- Core Tech: AWS/Azure/GCP, APIs (REST/GraphQL), IAM (SAML/OAuth), SQL/NoSQL.
Cloud Infrastructure & Security Monitoring
Since Vanta monitors cloud environments for compliance, you must have advanced troubleshooting skills in AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will investigate issues involving load balancers, resource tagging, and cloud application architecture to ensure Vanta’s agents and integrations are correctly capturing security data across diverse customer environments.
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
A significant portion of Vanta’s value comes from verifying who has access to what. You will troubleshoot complex IAM protocols including SAML, OAuth, and SCIM. You’ll work extensively with Identity Providers like Okta, Auth0, and Office 365 to resolve authentication gaps and synchronization errors that impact a customer’s compliance posture.
API Integrations & Data Analysis
Vanta relies on a web of integrations to automate evidence collection. You will use your knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs to diagnose broken connections and data discrepancies. You are expected to be proficient in querying SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases and using Datadog to analyze logs and trace complex, multi-relational data flows.
Summary: You are the technical “closer” for Vanta’s most difficult customer challenges. By combining deep cloud expertise with a mastery of identity protocols and API troubleshooting, you ensure that Vanta’s automated compliance engine remains a trusted source of truth for global businesses.
