System Administrator – Managed Services Consulting
Resultant, an outcomes-focused consulting firm specializing in making technology a strategic asset, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its Managed Services (MS) Service Delivery Team. This role is focused on delivering operational and project commitments to clients, ensuring the integrity and security of their infrastructure.
This is a Full-time, Remote position in the United States.
Core Responsibilities and Client Service Mandate
The Systems Administrator provides high-level support, focusing on platform reliability, security administration, and essential internal systems management for a diverse client base. Excellent communication and customer service are paramount.
- Client Delivery & Support: Deliver assigned operational and project commitments, providing amazing support that greatly exceeds client expectations.
- Security Administration: Manage the security administration, ensuring all client machines are protected and properly updated with Endpoint Security, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-Spyware, etc.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Manage the integrity and security of clients’ data, servers, devices, and software supporting the database, application, and storage systems.
- Implement and maintain Remote Access Systems (VPN, RDS, Citrix, VMware).
- Manage and maintain phone systems as needed (Cisco, Avaya, VOIP, Digital).
- Manage clients’ primary internal systems, from email to file sharing.
- Maintain domain policies, DNS, DHCP, and other integrated systems.
- Documentation & Metrics: Keep client documentation up-to-date and accurate, along with detailed notes/updates in help desk tickets. Daily timekeeping is a critical responsibility. The role requires familiarity with service metrics like CSAT Scores and SLA Ratings.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
The role requires mid-level systems administration experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to high-quality customer service.
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Certification (Preferred): Microsoft Associate Level Certification or equivalent certification.
- Required Technical Skills:
- Servers: Active Directory, Domain, SSL Certificate, Backups, Antivirus.
- Network: Firewalls, Switches, Wireless, Voice, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, Routing.
- Applications: Office 365, SharePoint.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Availability: Willing to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as necessary.
