Veracity, an independent insurance partner focused on small business owners, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented System Administrator. This role is primarily responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing backend system configurations within their in-house Insurance Policy Management Software (VUE) to support the launch of new products and ensure system reliability and compliance.

• Compensation Range: $20/hr – $30/hr (This translates to approximately $41,600 – $62,400 annually for a full-time role).
• Reporting To: Software Engineering Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities: Configuration, Compliance, and Optimization

This role acts as the technical bridge between business and engineering, ensuring all insurance product logic is accurately implemented and maintained within the system.

• Product Configuration Management: Manage and optimize backend settings to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of new and existing insurance product features. Oversee product configuration updates to accommodate carrier, product, or regulatory changes.
• Documentation & Compliance: Create, update, and test document templates for accuracy and compliance. Ensure all insurance product updates are accurately reflected and aligned with carrier, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for backend configuration support. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify, investigate, and resolve misconfiguration issues promptly.
• Process Improvement: Design and implement process improvements to minimize configuration errors and enhance overall system reliability and efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Proactively monitor configurations, troubleshoot issues, and test and validate changes to maintain quality and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate has a strong detail orientation, excellent analytical skills, and experience managing configurations in a regulated or complex software environment.

• Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Platform or Systems Administrator, or in a related configuration or technical operations role.
• Technical Focus: Experience managing backend system configurations within policy management, SaaS, or enterprise software environments.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Industry Knowledge (Plus): Familiarity with insurance systems, product configuration, or regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
