System Administrator – Cloud Infrastructure & Compliance (HealthTech)
Care Continuity, a HealthTech company redefining patient navigation using AI and clinical expertise, is seeking a System Administrator. This role is a hands-on, strategic position focused on owning the cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and platform reliability within a highly regulated environment.
This is a Full-time, Remote position in the USA. The estimated salary range is $100,000 – $125,000 per year, plus equity opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
About the Role and Core Mandate
The System Administrator will serve as the primary resource for infrastructure design and operations, partnering closely with engineering on architecture, security, and critical compliance frameworks (HITRUST, SOC-II, HIPAA).
What You’ll Do:
- Architecture & Reliability: Architect, review, and implement server/cloud infrastructure changes and improvements to ensure scalability, security, and availability.
- DevOps & Automation: Collaborate with the development team to plan and provision infrastructure that supports application design and operations. This involves proficiency with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform) and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps or equivalent).
- Security & Compliance: Partner with information security to maintain compliance with HITRUST, SOC-II, and HIPAA standards, and implement security improvements.
- Networking & Monitoring: Manage existing cloud networking infrastructure and configure new third-party connections/VPN tunnels as needed. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues affecting infrastructure and applications.
- Documentation & Metrics: Document infrastructure standards, changes, and conventions. Track and report against key performance metrics (KPIs) like system availability and security incident counts.
Required Expertise and Technology Stack
The role requires deep expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Azure, and a strong background in managing compliant, scalable cloud environments.
- Cloud Expertise (Mandatory): Expertise in Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, and security services).
- Automation: Proficiency with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform).
- Security & Identity: Strong knowledge of security/compliance frameworks (HITRUST, SOC-II, HIPAA). Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management (e.g., Intune).
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps or equivalent).
- Exposure (Nice-to-Have): Exposure to containerization/orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and database administration (SQL, MongoDB, Redis). Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
