Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Advanced Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: You will be the first point of contact for complex technical issues. This requires not only a deep understanding of the technologies involved but also a systematic approach to problem-solving. You’ll need to be able to quickly and accurately identify the root cause of an issue and implement effective solutions. This often involves working under pressure and thinking on your feet to minimize downtime for customers.
- Database Management and Support: A significant part of this role involves working with a variety of database systems. You will need to have a strong background in MongoDB, MS SQL, and NoSQL. This includes everything from performance tuning and optimization to disaster recovery and data integrity. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that customer data is secure, accessible, and performing at its peak. You will be responsible for resolving issues related to database connectivity, query performance, and data replication.
- Azure Cloud Services Expertise: The role requires an expert-level understanding of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL Services. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to data pipelines, data warehousing, and managed database instances within the Azure ecosystem. This includes diagnosing problems with data ingestion, transformation, and storage. - Data Pipeline Design and Implementation: You will be involved in the design and building of data pipelines using various methods, including API, ingestion, and streaming. You will be responsible for ensuring that data is moving efficiently and reliably from source to destination. This involves troubleshooting issues with data connectors, APIs, and streaming services.
- Big Data Production Support: The position also involves providing production support for big data environments, both on-premise and in the cloud.
