A leadership opportunity is available for a Senior Manager, Solution Architect of Marketing Technology at Under Armour, committed to empowering athletes and driving innovation. This role provides a critical bridge between business objectives and technology solutions, focusing on the Marketing and Consumer Engagement space.

This is a full-time, fully remote position with occasional travel to UA offices or conferences. The base compensation range is $163,892.80 – $225,352.60 USD, plus a competitive Total Rewards package including 401(k) matching and merchandise discounts.


Role Summary and Marketing Technology Leadership

The Senior Manager will lead the design, development, implementation, and support of critical consumer-facing technology platforms, ensuring they meet both business requirements and enterprise architectural standards. This role involves significant team and vendor management, strategic oversight, and driving solutions that directly impact revenue and consumer brand impressions.

Key Areas of Impact:

  • Technology Leadership: Directly leads teams responsible for Email Marketing, Mobile Push, SMS (Salesforce Marketing Cloud – SFMC), and Customer Service technology (Salesforce Service Cloud – SFSC/AgentForce).
  • Architecture & Strategy: Oversees the technical design and architectural framework for Under Armour’s Customer Data, Email Marketing, and Customer Service technologies. Ensures projects comply with the Enterprise Architecture and adhere to standards for reuse and alignment.
  • Business Impact: Directly drives impacts to revenue and consumer brand impressions by enabling seamless personalization campaigns and customer service experiences.
  • Project Oversight: Provides guidance and oversight to active projects and agile squads throughout the lifecycle, ensuring efficiency and consistency with the original design (inclusive of Journey Builder, Ad Studio, etc.).
  • Operations & Compliance: Directs the development of operational procedures, manages annual and project budgets, and owns all interactions with internal and external auditors regarding Consumer Engagement security and data privacy.
  • Talent Management: Manages a team of both direct and indirect reports (Developers, Leads, Analysts). Attracts, retains, and develops top talent and manages performance of a distributed team of internal teammates and external vendors.

Required Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a seasoned technology leader with deep, hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent packaged marketing solutions, proven team management abilities, and strong architectural judgment.

  • Experience (Required): Typically 10 years of relevant experience (or 8 years with a Master’s degree).
  • Management Experience: 3 – 5 years of management experience or equivalent subject matter leadership.
  • Marketing Tech Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, or other packaged marketing solutions, including API and 3rd-party system integrations (SOAP/REST).
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex technical challenges. Excellent communication and organizational abilities, including translating technical concepts into business terms.
  • Execution: Experienced in program/project management, with a track record of meeting deadlines and leading teams effectively using Agile methodology and frameworks.
  • Attributes: Self-starter, proactive team contributor, and capable of working independently within global teams.

Desirable Certifications (Plus)

  • ITIL certifications.
  • SFMC (MCE), SF Core, or AgentForce certifications.
