IT Platform Architect Senior Principal
An opportunity has emerged in our network for an IT Platform Architect Senior Principal at Pathward, a financial empowerment company dedicated to creating financial inclusion for all. This highly experienced, remote role (with office locations across the US) involves owning architectural responsibilities for defining and supporting modern Infrastructure platforms, methodologies, and standards in support of business growth.
This is a senior position with a salary range of $125,000–$208,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.
The Role and Core Focus
The Senior Principal Architect is a driver of technical strategy, responsible for the architectural health and future state of critical business capability platforms within the organization.
- Architectural Ownership: Drives the architectural effectiveness of initiatives related to Customer & Marketing platforms and ERP systems. This includes maintaining current state architecture and envisioning future state architecture aligned with product objectives.
- Solution Design: Architects solutions that address specific business capabilities and non-functional requirements across key platforms like Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Marketo, Workday, and AWS.
- Strategy & Roadmap: Develops technology roadmaps to transition smoothly from the current state. Defines and establishes technical strategies, standards, and guidelines in collaboration with other architects.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Provides technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Collaborates closely with senior business and technology leaders (Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering) to align business and technology strategy.
- Evaluation: Evaluates technology, market trends, and industry developments to identify prospective impact on the business.
Required Experience and Technical Skills
This role requires a very high level of experience in solution implementation, complex enterprise architecture, and domain knowledge in financial services and specific enterprise platforms.
- Experience Level: Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience, including 10+ years of complex enterprise experience leading architecture.
- Architecture Scale: 10+ years of experience architecting scalable, secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant technical solutions.
- Platform Expertise:6+ years of practical experience strategizing and implementing business solutions and platforms using:
- Salesforce
- Adobe Experience Manager / Adobe Marketo
- Workday
- AWS (or similar technology platforms).
- Domain Knowledge: 5+ years of banking or financial services and products domain experience (comparable domain experience will be considered).
- Leadership Success: Proven success in planning, influencing, and leading architecture initiatives across IT and business organizations and teams.
- Frameworks/Certifications: Certifications in Salesforce, Adobe, or Workday platforms are required. Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and knowledge of customer data platforms (CDPs) are a plus.
