Director, Cloud Services
An executive opportunity is available for a Director, Cloud Services at ePlus, working within their Professional Services organization. This key leadership role will be responsible for leading and growing the entire Cloud Services business, managing both the financial success and the delivery excellence of cloud solutions.
This is a full-time position, available anywhere in the United States, preferably near an ePlus office.
Role Summary and Cloud Services P&L Ownership
As a key member of the Cloud Services Management team, this Director will work closely with regional Sales and Services leaders and the VP of AI, Cloud, and Data Center Strategy. The role requires a dynamic leader experienced in managing a professional services consulting practice, with direct P&L accountability.
Your Impact
- Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth: Manage the Cloud Services team (Presales Engineers, Delivery Engineers, Project Managers). Drive service and product revenue by participating in sales meetings and working with key partners like AWS and Microsoft. Evangelize ePlus Cloud Services offerings to regional teams.
- Operational Management & Financials: Manage the budgets and P&L for the Cloud business. Track and forecast financial targets and provide reporting. Ensure high-quality service delivery through consistent methodology and management of internal and third-party resources. Track and meet sales and services targets, and manage customer satisfaction.
- Business Development: Collaborate to evaluate new offerings, establish customer requirements, create Statements of Work (SOW), and drive opportunities leveraging expertise in cloud services focus areas.
- People Leadership: Provide direction to Presales and Delivery Engineers. Mentor talent, foster a culture of technical excellence, and create growth plans for each team member.
Required Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader in professional IT services with strong financial acumen, proven P&L management experience, and deep technical knowledge of the AWS and Microsoft cloud ecosystems.
- Experience (Required):
- 5+ years of experience in a field-based cloud services management position, overseeing a team of more than ten staff members.
- 10+ years of people management experience preferred.
- Practice Management: Proven experience in managing and enhancing a world-class field services organization, as well as growing a Professional Services Consulting practice.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge: Extensive working understanding of AWS and Microsoft technologies and partner programs. Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts and experience with business enablement through technology.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage the financial elements (P&L, budgets, forecasting) that make up the business region. Experience leveraging partner funding programs to maximize incentives.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, essential for customer, business, and negotiation excellence.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred.
