Allstate is seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their technology team. This is a full-time, fully remote position within the United States, targeting an early career professional with a focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD practices. The role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud environments, particularly within Microsoft Azure and incorporating emerging technologies like Microsoft Fabric.

Compensation for this role ranges from $66,800.00 – $120,650.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.


Key Responsibilities and Technical Focus

This engineer will drive automation and continuous delivery while ensuring the security and optimization of Allstate’s cloud platforms.

  • Cloud Infrastructure & IaC: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across platforms, primarily focusing on Microsoft Azure, but also encompassing AWS or Google Cloud. You will automate provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Cloud Administration: Administer cloud environments, including user access, patching, backups, and disaster recovery. You will also monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Data Platform Integration: A key responsibility is to integrate and support Microsoft Fabric components within data engineering and analytics workflows.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure security and compliance across cloud environments using best practices and tools, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have proven hands-on experience in a Cloud DevOps role, with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft stack.

  • Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 3+ years of experience in Cloud DevOps roles.
  • Core Tooling: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Git & Jenkins.
  • Microsoft Stack: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure DevOps and Azure Resource Manager.
  • Data Technologies: Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and its role in modern data platforms.
  • Foundational Knowledge: Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and a strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.

Preferred Certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
