DevOps Engineer – Cloud & On-Premises (Remote, US/CA)
Haemonetics, a medical software solutions provider, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its core talent pool. This full-time, remote position (US or Canada) is highly focused on owning the deployment and maintenance of a hybrid infrastructure, supporting medical software solutions across AWS cloud services and on-premise environments.
The role offers a base salary range of $87,892.99 – $118,774.78/Annual, with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and participation in the long-term incentive plan. The work directly contributes to ensuring the security, scalability, and compliance of mission-critical medical systems.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Focus
This engineer will play a crucial role in automation, infrastructure management, and ensuring regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FDA, ISO, IEC) for medical software.
- Hybrid Infrastructure Ownership: Own the deployment and maintenance of AWS services and on-premise infrastructure. You will also help troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues in these hybrid environments.
- Automation: Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible. This includes supporting on-premise software installations and automating deployments, rollbacks, and software updates.
- Security & Compliance: Learn and apply security best practices, assisting senior R&D engineers to enhance security and ensure compliance with medical industry regulations (HIPAA, FDA, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304).
- Monitoring & Reliability: Support monitoring of infrastructure and applications using CloudWatch and Datadog. You will work to resolve performance bottlenecks, assist in incident response, and perform system health checks.
Required Experience and Qualifications
This position is for an experienced IT professional with a strong background that spans traditional infrastructure and modern cloud DevOps practices.
- Overall Experience: 10–15 years of overall IT experience, encompassing infrastructure, automation, cloud, and enterprise application deployment and support.
- DevOps/Cloud Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience specifically in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, IT automation, or system administration.
- AWS Expertise: Expert with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudTrail, and others.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep understanding of IaC tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- CI/CD & Scripting: Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Environment Knowledge: Some experience with on-premises software deployment or IT automation.
- Monitoring: Experience with monitoring & observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog).
