Cloud at Work, a sister company of Net at Work and a Sage-accredited Strategic Hosting Provider, is seeking a Cloud Onboarding Engineer. This role is crucial for administering technical projects related to the setup, maintenance, and support of new and existing clients moving into their cloud environment, which heavily features Sage applications.

The position’s primary function is to manage client onboarding into VMware and Azure while acting as the client’s voice internally. The base salary range is $75,000 – $90,000, with the position also being eligible for a performance bonus. The company is committed to diversity and is accepting applications until October 17, 2025.

Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas

The Cloud Onboarding Engineer works under the direction of the Onboarding Team Lead, ensuring seamless transitions and ongoing technical excellence for clients.

• Client Onboarding & Project Management: Manage new client onboarding into VMware and Azure, handling change requests and system upgrades.
• Support and Escalation: Respond to tickets and requests from clients, partners, and internal teams, ensuring adherence to SLAs. This role serves as a senior support escalation point.
• Documentation & Improvement: Develop and create comprehensive documentation for both internal and client-specific environments, and recommend cost-saving technical and process improvements.
• Operational Availability: Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Special Projects: Take on special projects as assigned by the Onboarding Team Lead.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

The position requires a strong background in virtualization, server administration, and support, ideally with 5+ years of experience or a technology degree.

• Server Administration (Required): Experience in administering Microsoft Windows Servers (2016/2019/2022/2025).
• Virtualization (Required): Experience in building and supporting Virtualization Technologies (VMware and Azure).
• Desktop Services (Required): Experience in building, maintaining, and supporting RDS (Remote Desktop Services) and AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop).
• Security: Experience in Firewall administration (Barracuda is a plus).
• Preferred Experience: Experience with Sage products is highly preferred, given the company’s focus. Familiarity with tools like ConnectWise Automate and Manage, LogicMonitor, vCenter/vCloudDirector, Nerdio, and IT Glue/BitWarden is also a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (plus bonus eligibility).
