- Experience: 2 years (Level I) or 4 years (Level II) in lab automation or robotics.
- Core Tech: C#, Python, TCP/IP, Serial Comms, Relational Databases.
Robotics & Lab Automation Software
You will support the deployment and maintenance of robotic arms and laboratory scheduling software. This involves debugging and deploying code for integrating various automated devices into a unified workflow. You’ll work closely with Field Service Engineers to resolve device issues, perform upgrades, and ensure that complex automation platforms contribute effectively to human health discoveries.
Software Troubleshooting & Integration
A significant portion of the role involves technical “detective work.” You will use C# or Python to troubleshoot software bugs and write scripts to automate repetitive tasks. You’ll also be responsible for configuring relational databases used by scheduling software and troubleshooting communication faults across TCP/IP and Serial (RS-232/485) interfaces.
Customer Success & Field Execution
As the “face of HighRes,” you will manage customer relationships through proactive communication and on-site training. You will lead the deployment of laboratory solutions, document hardware and software issues to resolution, and provide a polished, professional presence during critical system downtimes. This role requires a balance of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and high-level software support.
Summary: You are the bridge between advanced robotics and life-saving scientific research. By combining your skills in object-oriented programming with a hands-on understanding of mechanical and networking systems, you enable biotechnology and pharmaceutical labs to operate at peak efficiency, accelerating the pace of medical discovery.
