Archibus Systems Administrator (Senior Systems Administrator)
Maximus is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join its Technology Solutions (TS) Team. This role is focused on managing and maintaining application server environments, with a specific emphasis on the Archibus Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS), ensuring its security, reliability, and performance.
This is a Full-time, Remote position in the United States. The annual salary range is $135,000.00 – $150,000.00. U.S. Citizenship (without dual citizenship) is a contract requirement.
Role Summary and Archibus/Windows Mandate
The Senior Systems Administrator will serve as a pivotal resource responsible for both the application-level administration of Archibus and the underlying Windows Server and virtualized infrastructure. The role involves scripting, database querying, security compliance (NIST, ISO), and third-level support for critical incidents.
Job-Specific Essential Duties:
- Archibus Administration:
- Oversee and support all Windows server roles: Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, group policy, Certificate Server Manager, and related services.
- Update and develop Java integrations to improve Archibus system alignment with end-user requirements.
- Query SQL and write SQL scripts to troubleshoot and remediate end-user data discrepancies.
- Server & Virtualization Management:
- Configure and manage Windows servers, including upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
- Support and manage the virtual environment (VMware) by troubleshooting, optimizing performance, and resource allocation.
- Develop scripts to streamline server administration processes.
- Security & DR/Backup:
- Recommend and implement backup and recovery strategies; confirm regular backups and recovery drills.
- Apply security best practices and adhere to compliance requirements (NIST, ISO) to safeguard sensitive information.
- Troubleshooting & Collaboration:
- Provide third-level support for critical incidents, diagnosing and resolving complex issues across the application technology stack (application, database, server).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Network, Security, Firewall) and application developers.
- Maintain documentation and create/update operational manuals and guidelines (SOPs).
Minimum Requirements and Core Skills
The candidate must have substantial enterprise IT experience, specific Windows and COTS application administration knowledge, and the required U.S. citizenship status.
- Citizenship (Mandatory): Must be a U.S. Citizen without dual citizenship with another country.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in an enterprise IT environment.
- Hands-on experience with Application administration in a Windows Server environment: Apache Tomcat, Archibus, Certificates, IIS.
- Experience administering COTS applications in an enterprise setting and vendor engagement.
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge supporting Windows Systems in an enterprise environment.
- Working knowledge of Java deployments and integrations.
- Working knowledge of SQL queries, scripts, and SQL Server clustering.
- Familiarity with monitoring, backup, failover, and recovery procedures and tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or 4 years equivalent work experience).
