​Alkami is a leading cloud-based digital banking provider, serving over 19.5 million users through retail and business banking platforms. This Senior Application Support Engineer role is a high-level customer-facing position that serves as the primary technical point of contact for complex application issues. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across multiple functional areas of the banking platform, with a heavy emphasis on MS SQL database configuration and high-stakes incident management.

  • Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 USD
  • Location: Remote (US)
  • Experience: 5+ years in application support and complex problem-solving.
  • Core Tech: MS SQL (Advanced Querying), JIRA, Mobile & Web Banking Platforms.
  • Schedule: Includes a 24/7/365 on-call rotation for SEV 1 (Critical) issues.

​Database Configuration & Site Management

​A core requirement of this role is the ability to review and update site configurations directly within MS SQL databases. You will be expected to create and interpret custom scripts using advanced SQL query structures to resolve data-level discrepancies and configuration errors that impact banking functionality for financial institutions.

​Incident Triage & Subject Matter Expertise

​You will be expected to achieve SME status in at least three functional areas of the Alkami platform (e.g., Digital Account Opening, Payment Fraud Prevention, or Data Analytics). In this capacity, you will lead the triage process for reported bugs, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor during high-pressure situations while managing customer expectations throughout the resolution lifecycle.

​Cross-Functional Leadership & Documentation

​As a Senior Engineer, you will bridge the gap between Support, Engineering, and the customer. You will collaborate cross-functionally to test new features before they are released and draft complex procedures and Knowledge Base (KB) articles to train the broader support team on new functionality, effectively reducing the frequency of recurring issues.
