Senior Project Manager – Ambry Genetics (Remote)
Ambry Genetics is a leader in clinical diagnostic testing and genetics. This Senior Project Manager role, focused on COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) initiatives, sits within the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO). You will be responsible for navigating the complex lifecycle of biotech projects, specifically moving high-stakes diagnostic assays from development through validation in a highly regulated lab environment.
- Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 + 7.5% STI Plan
- Location: Remote (US)
- Experience: 5+ years in Project Management (Biotech/Regulated Lab environment preferred)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Biotech Product & Assay Development
A critical component of this role is managing the technical nuances of Assay Development and Validation. You will oversee the transition of genetic testing products through rigorous scientific and operational milestones. This requires a deep understanding of laboratory logistics and the regulatory standards (such as CLIA/CAP) that govern diagnostic testing.
Full Lifecycle PMO Governance
Working under the general direction of a Program Manager, you will assume primary responsibility for the entire project life cycle. This includes financial analysis, budget tracking, and the creation of detailed schedules using tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, or Confluence. You are expected to maintain strict conformance to Ambry’s PMO methodologies to ensure projects remain on time and on budget.
Influence & Stakeholder Management
As a Senior PM, you must be able to influence without authority. You will lead cross-functional teams and influence middle management on technical and business solutions. This involves translating complex laboratory and genetic data into standard status reports and executive updates to ensure cross-group dependencies are managed effectively.
Summary: You are the operational driver for Ambry’s genetic diagnostic pipeline. By combining professional project management rigor with a technical understanding of biotech assay validation, you ensure that critical genetic insights reach patients and providers through efficient, compliant, and well-executed project delivery.
