This is a full-time Data Warehouse Analyst role at WorldTrips (a member of Tokio Marine HCC), specializing in specialty travel medical and trip protection insurance. This is a 1099 contract role anticipated to last 3-6 months and is fully remote (USA). The analyst is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of the enterprise data warehouse system, focusing heavily on ETL processes and Microsoft BI solutions.
- Location: Remote, USA (1099 Contract).
- Duration: Anticipated 3–6 months.
- Experience Required: Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive professional experience.
- Focus: Designing logical and physical data warehouse architecture, developing ETL packages, ensuring data accuracy/consistency, and utilizing Microsoft BI technology for solutions.
Responsibilities: Architecture, ETL, and BI Delivery
The analyst ensures the integrity and functionality of the data warehouse, making data accessible and actionable for the business.
- Architecture & Design: Determine logical and physical architecture requirements necessary to integrate new or existing sources into an Enterprise Business Intelligence (data warehouse) system. Continuously improve how the system functions.
- Database Management: Review, evaluate, design, test, implement, and maintain company databases to support the organization’s data needs.
- ETL Development: Write code for database access, modifications, and construction including stored procedures and Extract/Transfer/Load (ETL) packages to integrate new or existing data sources.
- Change Data Capture (CDC): Integrate Change Data Capture software to monitor transaction data from source systems.
- BI Delivery: Deliver Business Intelligence Solutions using Microsoft technology such as SharePoint, Excel, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and others.
- Standards & Security: Create standards for installation, operational support, and information security to adhere to corporate IT standards.
- Consultation: Consult with clients and team members to obtain requirements needed for constructing business intelligence architectures.
Required Skills and Experience
The position demands technical expertise in database and ETL development, paired with strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Technical Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive professional experience in a related field.
- ETL/Database Tools: Must be proficient in writing code for ETL packages, stored procedures, and handling database modifications and access. Experience integrating Change Data Capture software is necessary.
- BI Tools: Experience delivering BI Solutions using the Microsoft stack (Analysis Services, Reporting Services, SharePoint, Excel).
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability of exceptional attention to detail to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
