This is a full-time, senior-level Data Analyst role at KCI Technologies, Inc., a 100% employee-owned engineering, consulting, and construction firm. This position is highly focused on ETL processes, data governance, and analytics solutions, with a required specialization in leveraging Safe Software FME for data transformation and optimization. The role involves significant leadership, mentoring, and direct stakeholder/client interaction.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Data Science, Systems Engineering, Statistics, Geography) is required.
- Focus: Leading end-to-end ETL, FME tool specialization, data modeling/predictive analytics, developing scalable dashboards, and serving as a key liaison to senior management and customers.
- Industry Preference (Preferred): Experience in a consulting role and experience in markets like utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government.
Duties & Responsibilities: ETL Leadership and Strategic Consulting
The Senior Data Analyst leads technical projects, mentors junior staff, and supports business development by applying data expertise to client programs.
- ETL and FME Specialization: Lead end-to-end ETL processes, including requirements gathering, data acquisition, business process analysis, transformation, and integration. Leverage Safe Software FME and related tools to design, automate, and optimize workflows for data transformation, validation, and delivery.
- Analytics and Modeling: Perform modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, visualizations of trends and patterns, and predictive analytics.
- BI and Dashboarding: Work closely with stakeholders to define key metrics, develop scalable dashboards, and recommend, deploy, and manage the implementation of business intelligence, data visualization, and reporting tools.
- Automation and Data Quality: Automate the collection and analysis of large data sets from customer and third-party systems, using APIs and Python scripts. Identify and troubleshoot complex data problems.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor data analysts and associate data analysts by developing, coaching, and growing team members. Supervise staff, as assigned, and provide performance feedback.
- Client Engagement: Regularly interact and build relationships with senior management, customers, and business partners. Support business development by meeting with customers and assisting with proposals (RFPs).
Required Skills and Technical Environment
The technical requirements are specific, demanding proficiency in ETL scripting, FME, and a strong background in data visualization and management.
- Core Technical Proficiency: Experience with data extraction, Safe Software FME, Python, SQL, Power Query, APIs, and ETL/data engineering tools and query languages is required.
- Geospatial (Preferred): Proficiency with Esri cloud, desktop, web, and mobile product lines, with the ability to integrate spatial analysis into other platforms is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum eight years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to leverage information into data-driven decisions for tactical and strategic support. Motivated team player capable of working constructively on multi-disciplinary teams.
