​This is a full-time Data Governance Analyst role at Tripoint Solutions, supporting a federal customer. The analyst is responsible for analyzing current governance structures, processes, and bodies to identify gaps and provide recommendations for future data governance implementation. This involves defining policies, establishing quality metrics, and ensuring compliance with legislative mandates like ZTA and EBPA.

  • Location: Hybrid position, must be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland. Requires working on-site in DC 4 days a week at minimum.
  • Experience Required: 8+ years working with business stakeholders, data modeling, and data architecture concepts; 5+ years leading data governance initiatives.
  • Clearance: Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements (US Citizenship or Green Card required).
  • Key Focus: DAMA framework, data architecture enhancement, compliance (ZTA, EBPA), data lifecycle management, and implementing data quality metrics.
  • Preferred Skills: Financial markets experience, and experience with metadata management tools like Collibra.

​Key Accountabilities: Governance Structure and Data Quality

​The analyst is accountable for developing and implementing the foundational elements of the data governance program across the enterprise.

  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing governance processes and recommend improvements. Conduct annual assessments of data management activities.
  • Structure Definition: Collaborate with management and staff to identify data domains, domain leads, and governance policies. Identify data owners and stewards and support governance training efforts.
  • Standards & Compliance: Establish policies and procedures for data lifecycle management and compliance with legislative mandates such as ZTA (Zero Trust Architecture) and EBPA (Evidence-Based Policy Act).
  • Data Quality: Define requirements for implementing data quality metrics. Work with business owners to establish data quality rules, definitions, and strategies.
  • Architecture & Strategy: Analyze and enhance data architecture and standards. Develop mechanisms to measure data management maturity.
  • Documentation: Ability to analyze, develop and document processes, procedures, policies, and charters, and document requirements to support data governance activities.

​Required Experience and Technical Skills

​The role demands senior-level experience, deep familiarity with industry frameworks, and proficiency in modern data platforms.

  • Foundational Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the DAMA framework (Data Management Body of Knowledge).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience leading data governance initiatives in multiple settings. Experience implementing governance for mission-specific data standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in SQL, AWS, or other cloud-based tools. Strong understanding of a variety of database paradigms and technologies.
  • Preferred Tools: Experience with metadata management tools (Collibra) strongly preferred.
  • Preferred Industry: Financial markets experience strongly preferred.
