Enterprise Applications Administrator – HR Focus (Workday)
Stoel Rives LLP, a law firm, has an immediate opening for an Enterprise Applications Administrator. This role is primarily focused on supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining the firm’s enterprise applications, with a heavy emphasis on the Human Capital Management System (Workday).
This is a Full-time, Exempt, Fully Remote position available to applicants located anywhere in the United States. The salary range is $92,000 – $153,000, based on skills and experience, plus an annual discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Essential Functions and Workday Mandate
This administrator is a key member of the Enterprise Applications team, responsible for ensuring system stability, facilitating upgrades, and utilizing technology to enhance firm-wide productivity. The role requires both technical administration skills and strong customer service.
- Primary Application Focus: Administer and maintain enterprise applications, with the primary focus on Human Resource systems, specifically Workday.
- System Administration: Administer and maintain SQL and other data integration services, including scripting and API calls.
- Maintenance & Deployment: Research, test, and develop deployment plans for new patches or upgrades to enterprise applications and their dependent database instances.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide systems analysis techniques for complicated technical applications. Respond to and resolve incident ticket escalations using IT ticket management systems (ZenDesk, Jira, etc.).
- Collaboration: Work with other IT teams and end-users to ensure the proper configuration, deployment, maintenance, and testing of enterprise applications.
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and formal documentation. Assist in developing customized solutions where appropriate.
Required Experience and Technical Capabilities
The role requires a strong blend of hands-on application and database administration experience, particularly within the Microsoft stack, and specific exposure to HCM systems like Workday.
- Experience (Minimum):
- 3 years’ experience administering Enterprise Applications.
- 3 years’ experience administering SQL databases, reporting, and ETL jobs.
- 1 year of experience managing web applications and configuring IIS application sites.
- Core Technical Capabilities:
- Proficiency in SQL reporting, database structures, and query development and execution.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, SQL Server, and IIS.
- Familiarity with the administration and maintenance of server-side components.
- Preferred Experience: Workday experience is preferred. Project management experience is also required.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
