Quad, a global marketing experience company, is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator. This is an entry-level position focused on implementing technology solutions and collaborating with other team members to maintain the company’s IT infrastructure.
This is a Full-time position in the United States.
General Purpose and Core Responsibilities
The Administrator is expected to develop general knowledge across several related technologies. This role involves both hands-on implementation and documentation and requires participation in an on-call rotation.
- Implementation & Maintenance: Works as part of a team to complete tasks/projects. Implements and maintains IT assets within a service.
- Support: Periodic 24×7 support responsibilities through an on-call rotation. Provides support for implementing solutions as needed.
- Documentation: Maintains documentation/SOPs for implementation.
- Technical Understanding: Understands infrastructure interactions at a general level.
Requirements and Key Technology Exposure
Since this is an entry-level role, the requirements emphasize foundational education and exposure to key infrastructure areas rather than extensive experience.
- Experience & Education:
- 0-3 years of experience in the IT field.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to grasp new concepts and technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Required Technology Exposure (Experience with one or more):
- Network technologies (WAN, LAN, Wireless LAN, Unified Communication, VoIP).
- Windows Server or Linux distributions.
- Server virtualization (VMWare, HyperV).
- Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Backup and retention.
