Systems Administrator – Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN)
The Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN) is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage, optimize, and integrate its core technology platforms, with a primary focus on Salesforce (NPSP) and related fundraising/financial tools. This role is crucial for ensuring the technology ecosystem is robust, integrated, and secure to support the mission of protecting endangered wildlife.
This is a Full-time, Remote position available anywhere in the United States. The salary range is $90,000 – $100,000 per year.
Position Summary and Salesforce Mandate
This Systems Administrator will be a detail-oriented, systems-savvy professional responsible for both technical operations and strategic initiatives, leveraging technology to analyze donor data and produce meaningful insights. The role heavily involves working with third-party application integrations and Salesforce’s Nonprofit Cloud features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Salesforce Administration (NPSP):
- Share administration responsibilities for Salesforce NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack).
- Assist in launching the Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking portal.
- Support the implementation and ongoing administration of a Salesforce Experience Cloud–based donor portal.
- Manage user access, permissions, licenses, and stay current on quarterly Salesforce releases.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize Salesforce Einstein Analytics to generate advanced donor insights and predictive models (giving behavior, retention risk, revenue forecasting).
- Conduct analysis and present insights using data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Develop and track benchmarks and KPIs for donor engagement and revenue growth.
- Systems Integration & API Management:
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and third-party platforms (e.g., Springboard/Classy, FreeWill, Hubspot, Sage Intacct, FormAssembly).
- Configure and troubleshoot middleware or API connections (e.g., Zapier, Apsona, DataBlend, or custom scripts).
- Assist with data syncing, ETL processes, and error resolution.
- Evaluate and coordinate the implementation of improvements to the online donation platform.
- Cross-Team Support:
- Collaborate with donor engagement, communications, programs, and finance teams to optimize data workflows.
- Provide staff and partner training and documentation to improve adoption.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of Salesforce administration experience, particularly within a nonprofit or fundraising context, and proficiency with integration tools.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience administering Salesforce (preferably NPSP).
- Experience building and managing API integrations.
- Strong Salesforce Flow and process automation experience.
- Proficiency with tools like Zapier, Apsona, DataBlend, or custom API development.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit operations, especially fundraising/CRM workflows and outbound grants management.
- Experience with data cleaning, migration, and validation.
- Familiarity with online payments, payment processors, and fraud detection/mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience implementing Salesforce Einstein Analytics and/or Salesforce Donor Portal.
- Experience implementing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Apex, CSS, or HTML.
- Experience in Project Management and related tools.
