An executive opportunity is available for a Senior Vice President (SVP), Global SRE and DevOps, Data & Technology at Dentsu, overseeing the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of their global platforms, which support Dentsu. Connect product ecosystem.

This is a full-time, fully remote position in the USA, reporting directly to the Global Chief Product Officer. The annual salary range is $163,000 – $263,350.

Role Summary and Operational Excellence Mandate

This SVP is a senior leader responsible for defining and executing the long-term strategy for platform maturity and scalability. The role requires a collaborative, high-trust leadership style to manage a distributed global team and ensure high reliability standards across core cloud infrastructure and tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Management: Lead and scale a global team of approximately 20 engineers and their leads across SRE, DevOps, and infrastructure domains. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Engineering & Architecture: Provide strategic direction across all domains, guiding architectural decisions for the evolution of internal platforms and cloud environments (specifically Azure).
• Operational Excellence: Define and maintain reliability and performance standards (SLOs, SLIs). Manage platform cost optimization, resource efficiency, and ensure robust monitoring and alerting.
• Strategic Planning: Develop long-term strategies for platform maturity and scalability. Identify opportunities for innovation and manage strategic risks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary contact for platform reliability and tooling across global leadership. Represent platform engineering in executive forums and collaborate extensively with Product, Engineering, Security, and Data teams.
• Functional Oversight: Direct ownership over Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps Tooling/Developer Experience, Core Cloud Infrastructure (Azure), Platform Operations, Observability, Cost Optimization, and Global Technical Support.

Required Experience and Executive Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a highly seasoned SRE/DevOps executive with extensive experience running large-scale, complex platforms in a global, multi-faceted technology organization.

• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in engineering roles, with proven experience in:
  • Running large-scale, complex platforms.
  • Cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure).
  • Observability, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Leadership: Proven leadership in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, and Infrastructure Operations. Experience leading and managing global teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
• Technical Depth: Deep understanding of:
  • SRE principles (SLOs, SLIs, incident management).
  • CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices.
  • Cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strategy & Communication: Strong background in technical architecture, platform strategy, and operational excellence. Skilled in strategic planning, risk management, and the ability to represent platform engineering in executive forums.
• Familiarity: Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Snowflake DevOps practices.
