Vice President, Transformation
A highly strategic opportunity is available for a Vice President, Transformation at Gainwell, a company that utilizes leading-edge technologies to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. This executive role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to strengthen the company’s position as a technology leader in the marketplace.
This is a full-time, Virtual (Exception only) position, 100% remote within the United States, with an opportunity for travel up to 30% annually.
Role Summary and Executive Strategy
The Vice President will own and manage the overall information technology strategy and investment, leveraging technology trends to solve critical business problems. This leader will guide strategic investment, drive major technology programs, and oversee all aspects of technology strategy and execution, including those acquired through M&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision: Shape the company’s vision and strategic direction for technology. Develop and promulgate a technology strategy that supports the innovation portfolio, guiding strategic investment in technology that solves business problems.
- Investment & M&A: Own and manage information technology strategy and investment, including the evaluation and incorporation of technology acquired through mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
- Technology & Product Direction: Advise senior executives on critical IT trends. Direct research and development, offering lifecycle management, and product development efforts for major segments of the technology business.
- Operational Alignment: Work with operational business organizations to select and introduce new technologies, prioritize product development initiatives, and expand the customer base.
- Organizational Oversight: Direct the analysis of purchased systems, hardware, and software, and coordinate responsibilities among subordinate organizations. Direct, manage, develop, and oversee the budget, balancing cost-saving measures with departmental needs.
- Personnel Management: Direct, manage, and develop personnel activity, which may include managers and highly technical, specialized staff.
Required Experience and Executive Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced technology executive with a proven track record of leadership in large, global IT organizations, especially those in technology and services-intensive business sectors.
- Experience (Total): Twenty or more years of related experience in the Information Technology industry, working with multiple platforms, products, hardware, and software.
- Management Experience: Fifteen or more years in a supervisory or management capacity included.
- Business Context: Experience working in a global organization of size, scope, and complexity. Must have experience working in a technology and/or services-intensive business.
- Expertise: Extensive experience working with the management implications of various forms of financial data. Experience working with cutting-edge technologies, business development, product life-cycle planning, and the delivery of information technology systems.
- Education: Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
