Senior IT Director – Data and Core Technology Services
An opportunity is available for a Senior IT Director – Data and Core Technology Services at Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions, which provides customized solutions across global specialty insurance markets. This senior leadership role is crucial for driving business growth and transformation by leading the strategy, development, and execution across data, technology, and software development domains.
This is a full-time, Hybrid or Remote position, available nationwide in the U.S. The typical base salary range is $253,000 – $297,000, plus bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.
Role Summary and Strategic Data Leadership
This Senior Director will join the Corporate IT team and carry critical responsibilities to develop a strategy that centers on the customer and business, bringing the IT vision to life, and aligning operations with the company’s growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data, technology, and software strategy aligned with overall business objectives. Identify emerging technologies and industry trends, including cloud transformation, that can provide a competitive advantage.
- Data and Analytics: Lead the organization’s data journey to provide actionable insights. Progress the data foundation to be best in class to drive informed decision-making.
- Software Development: Lead the development and deployment of software that enhances products and services. Ensure development processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to oversee end-to-end customer journeys, leading business process reengineering and large-scale IT deployment initiatives.
- Team Development & Culture: Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team of data engineers, software developers, and technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Fiscal Accountability: Maintain fiscal accountability, including the development and management of the department’s budget, making smart choices for optimization.
Required Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a highly seasoned technology executive with deep experience spanning the full stack of data, software, and IT strategy within large-scale environments.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in senior leadership roles, with at least 10 years of experience in data, technology management, and software development.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in computer science, data engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Leadership & Strategy: Proven ability to lead development of IT strategy for data and technology, and to lead large-scale IT deployment and process reengineering initiatives.
- Team Management: Proven ability to manage the full employee performance life cycle and promote best practices in execution and daily operations.
- Global Context (Preferred): Experience working with a global team is preferred.
