Director, Global Contracts & Customer Service Management
An opportunity has emerged in our network for a Director, Global Contracts & Customer Service Management at Haemonetics, a company seeking core talent for a challenging and rewarding career. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving all aspects of commercial contract negotiation, administration, compliance, and process improvement on a global scale. This is a full-time, remote position in the United States, with locations noted in MA and general US Remote.
The Role and Core Focus
This Director will lead a high-performing team to ensure that all global contracts are legally sound, align with business and regulatory requirements, and support strategic revenue objectives. The role functions as a trusted advisor to commercial teams and drives continuous improvement across operations.
- Global Contracting Strategy: Develop and implement global contracting solutions that align with company strategy and revenue objectives, engaging internal and external stakeholders while respecting regional specificities (Direct/Indirect markets, Tender/RFP management).
- Contract Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Oversee contract compliance, ensuring timely and efficient contract development aligned with commercial goals, pricing policies, and government regulations. Analyze contract performance and financial implications to mitigate risk and provide strategic recommendations.
- Team Leadership & Management: Leads a direct team across multiple regions, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Responsible for hiring, training, setting goals, and ensuring accountability.
- Process & System Improvement: Develop and maintain robust contract management frameworks (processes, tools, internal controls, systems). Implement and manage contracting and order management tools to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Works directly with Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure team alignment, readiness on sales/compliance strategies, and seamless execution of the sales and service contract lifecycle (drafting, negotiating, finalizing, compliance, renewal).
Required Experience and Qualifications
This is a demanding leadership role requiring significant experience in global contracts, operational excellence, and team management, ideally within the medical device industry.
- Experience Level: 10 years of experience in a customer-facing function, ideally in contract management within the medical device.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a matrix, direct/indirect, and global setting.
- Core Competencies: Proven track record of successful contract negotiations within a matrix, international environment. Must possess proven continuous improvement skills and operational prowess.
- Education (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field.
- Master’s degree in law, business administration, or a related field with emphasis on analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- Certifications (Preferred): Professional certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CCMP) and/or legal qualifications and/or program management (PMP).
