Consulting Director, Digital / IT Strategy
An opportunity has emerged in our network for a Consulting Director, Digital / IT Strategy at Info-Tech Research Group (ITRG), one of the world’s fastest-growing IT research and advisory companies. This is a full-time, remote leadership role in the United States, targeting an experienced consultant who has been trained in structured, top-tier consulting methodologies.
The Director will play an executive role in leading and delivering high-impact consulting engagements focused on strategic planning, governance, transformation, and new technology adoption across a diverse range of projects and industries.
Key Responsibilities and Leadership Focus
This role encompasses executive oversight of client delivery, business development, and the growth and maturation of the Info-Tech Consulting practice.
- Project Delivery & Oversight: Act as the executive sponsor for consulting engagements, responsible for high-level delivery, quality assurance, and client satisfaction. Lead, support, and mentor delivery teams through assessments, synthesis of findings, and the development of actionable recommendations tailored to C-level clients.
- Business Development: Lead the pursuit and closure of new consulting opportunities. Collaborate with Sales and Research teams to understand client needs, define solutions, and lead the creation of proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Client Strategy & Relationship Management: Advise C-level clients on both strategic and tactical topics, focusing on how technology enables business outcomes. Build long-term trust-based relationships across North America that support ongoing ITRG business.
- Practice Development: Contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting methodologies and the development of new Intellectual Capital (IP) to mature Info-Tech’s Digital and IT Strategy capabilities.
- Communication & Influence: Synthesize and translate complex technical realities into business terms, clearly communicating the business value and bottom-line impacts of technology decisions to non-technical executive audiences.
Required Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced, career-driven consultant with proven leadership and business acumen, particularly in the intersection of business strategy and technology.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a management consulting role, using structured problem-solving methodologies, with a proven track record of building and delivering client-facing solutions.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in the field. An MBA is desired.
- Core Consulting Skills: Demonstrated expertise in Client Engagement & Facilitation, Project & Program Management, Critical & Strategic Thinking, and Executive Presence.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen to communicate with C-level clients about strategic priorities, risk, and value protection.
- Business Development: Demonstrated experience in developing consulting business, including crafting proposals and responding to RFPs.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading and mentoring more junior team members and building high-performing teams.
- Language (Preferred): Fluency in both English and French is preferred.
