Network Engineer (Contract, New York, NY)
A new opportunity has emerged in our network for a Network Engineer at a leading technology firm. This is a contract position based in New York, NY, and is part of the Professional Services department, where you’ll support various public sector clients. This role is for a skilled, collaborative professional who can act as a trusted advisor, solve complex problems, and drive significant results for clients.
Key Responsibilities and Required Skills
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Stakeholder Engagement: You’ll connect with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners to achieve key results.
- Onsite Support: You’ll act as a trusted advisor for assigned customer accounts, providing onsite support as needed.
- Problem Resolution: You’ll resolve complex customer issues and work with engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
- Continuous Learning: You’re expected to continuously learn and strengthen your technical skills in relevant and adjacent technologies.
- Technical Guidance: You’ll provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure operational excellence in service delivery.
To be successful, you’ll need a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, plus 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Networking. You should have a deep understanding of key networking technologies and protocols. A professional-level certification like CCNP or an equivalent, such as CCIE R/S or DevNet Professional, is a strong requirement. Experience in troubleshooting complex scenarios within enterprise networking environments is also essential.
