An opportunity has come through our network for a Solution Architect at a leading organization in the technology and financial services sectors. This is a contract position based in Jersey City, NJ, for a seasoned professional to join the Architecture and Development department. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting enterprise-wide technology initiatives, defining the architectural vision, and developing solutions that align with the company’s long-term strategic goals.

This position is for an architect who can take charge of a project’s technical direction from the ground up. You will be responsible for defining the architectural vision and creating a solution architecture that is fully aligned with the enterprise’s broader strategy. This includes describing the solution’s intent and operating environment, and ensuring seamless system interoperability. You’ll work on the fundamental design of systems, determining the primary systems, subsystems, and their interfaces, and you will be a key voice in defining non-functional requirements. A critical part of your job will be to lead the rapid shaping of high-level architecture, ensuring solutions are flexible and modular so they can adapt to the company’s evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities and Required Skills

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Architectural Vision and Strategy: You’ll define the architectural vision and create a solution architecture aligned with the enterprise’s overarching strategy.
• System Design and Interoperability: You will determine the primary systems and their interfaces, ensuring they can work together effectively.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including vendors and service providers, to evaluate strategic design decisions.
• Solution Design: You’ll be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that are flexible and modular.
• Problem-Solving: You’ll apply strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills to overcome technical challenges.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with key technologies and a strong understanding of architectural principles. This includes:

• Oracle Stack: Experience with Oracle Fusion, SQL, PL/SQL, Exadata, and Golden Gate.
• Scripting: Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Shell Scripting.
• Best Practices: A strong understanding of solution architecture principles and best practices.
• Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders.
