Your responsibilities include software package management via <strong>yum and dnf<\/strong>, managing complex repositories, and optimizing system performance for large-scale client environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bVirtualization &amp; Server Lifecycle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bYou will manage both test and production environments utilizing <strong>Red Hat KVM<\/strong> and <strong>VMware ESX<\/strong>. The role spans the entire server lifecycle: from initial provisioning and network configuration to proactive monitoring via <strong>Nagios<\/strong> and final decommissioning. You will work closely with clients to identify automation opportunities that centralize reporting and reduce operational toil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bDoD Compliance &amp; Cybersecurity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bA core pillar of this role is hardening systems to meet <strong>DoD standards<\/strong>. You will perform regular vulnerability assessments, apply critical security patches, and audit systems to ensure compliance with both internal and external mandates.
