The role spans traditional support, pre-sales technical assistance (POCs), community engagement, and knowledge creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Location:<\/strong> Remote, must be located in the <strong>United States or Canada<\/strong> (Eastern Time Zone required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Focus:<\/strong> Providing first-line technical support, professional response, and on-call coverage for complex issues related to <strong>ClickHouse Cloud<\/strong> and <strong>ClickHouse open-source<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Communication Requirement:<\/strong> Strong written and verbal <strong>English and German<\/strong> communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Support Model:<\/strong> 24&#215;7 Support in a global, distributed environment (requires presence\/availability according to scheduling).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Perks:<\/strong> Stock options, flexible time off, and a $500 home office setup allowance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bWhat You Will Be Doing: Technical Guidance and Knowledge Sharing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe engineer will own a variety of tasks from direct customer interaction and case management to content development and cross-functional partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Customer Support:<\/strong> Supporting and guiding users, customers, and prospects via cases, chat, Slack, community, and virtual meetings. Delivering excellent customer service and providing <strong>on-call coverage<\/strong> within required <strong>SLAs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Pre- and Post-Sales Support:<\/strong> Partnering with the Go-To-Market team on <strong>deeply technical aspects of Proofs-of-Concept (POCs)<\/strong>, in addition to post-sales case resolution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Knowledge Creation:<\/strong> Develop solutions that can be shared via documentation, <strong>knowledge base, blogs, meetups, webinars, and training<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Collaboration &amp; Feedback:<\/strong> Work closely with global Support Services, Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Product Management teams to help <strong>define functionality required by users<\/strong> and customers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Mentorship:<\/strong> Assist with mentoring, training, and sharing knowledge with colleagues, users, and customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bRequired Technical Breadth and Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe role requires experience in distributed systems and database administration, coupled with specific language proficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Domain Expertise:<\/strong> Technical breadth and depth in <strong>ClickHouse open-source or ClickHouse Cloud<\/strong>, or in domains relevant to ClickHouse, such as: <strong>SQL databases, OLAP, cloud-native SaaS, distributed systems<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Prior Experience:<\/strong> Previous technical experience in roles such as <strong>Support Engineer, Consultant, Database Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, and\/or Systems Engineer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Language Skills:<\/strong> Strong written and verbal <strong>English and German<\/strong> communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Schedule:<\/strong> Be present and available according to the scheduling required to deliver high-quality <strong>24&#215;7 Support<\/strong> in a global, distributed environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Soft Skills:<\/strong> Mindset of teamwork, global engagement, empathy, and solving challenging problems.
