This involves defining policies, establishing quality metrics, and ensuring compliance with legislative mandates like <strong>ZTA and EBPA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Location:<\/strong> <strong>Hybrid<\/strong> position, must be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland. Requires working <strong>on-site in DC 4 days a week<\/strong> at minimum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Experience Required:<\/strong> <strong>8+ years<\/strong> working with business stakeholders, data modeling, and data architecture concepts; <strong>5+ years<\/strong> leading data governance initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Clearance:<\/strong> Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements (US Citizenship or Green Card required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Key Focus:<\/strong> DAMA framework, data architecture enhancement, compliance (ZTA, EBPA), data lifecycle management, and implementing data quality metrics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Preferred Skills:<\/strong> Financial markets experience, and experience with metadata management tools like <strong>Collibra<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bKey Accountabilities: Governance Structure and Data Quality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe analyst is accountable for developing and implementing the foundational elements of the data governance program across the enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Process Improvement:<\/strong> Analyze existing governance processes and recommend improvements. Conduct annual assessments of data management activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Structure Definition:<\/strong> Collaborate with management and staff to <strong>identify data domains, domain leads, and governance policies<\/strong>. Identify <strong>data owners and stewards<\/strong> and support governance training efforts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Standards &amp; Compliance:<\/strong> Establish <strong>policies and procedures for data lifecycle management<\/strong> and compliance with legislative mandates such as <strong>ZTA (Zero Trust Architecture)<\/strong> and <strong>EBPA (Evidence-Based Policy Act)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Data Quality:<\/strong> Define requirements for implementing <strong>data quality metrics<\/strong>. Work with business owners to establish data quality rules, definitions, and strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Architecture &amp; Strategy:<\/strong> Analyze and enhance <strong>data architecture and standards<\/strong>. Develop mechanisms to <strong>measure data management maturity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Documentation:<\/strong> Ability to analyze, develop and document processes, procedures, policies, and charters, and document requirements to support data governance activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bRequired Experience and Technical Skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe role demands senior-level experience, deep familiarity with industry frameworks, and proficiency in modern data platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Foundational Knowledge:<\/strong> <strong>Excellent knowledge of the DAMA framework<\/strong> (Data Management Body of Knowledge).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>5+ years<\/strong> of experience leading data governance initiatives in multiple settings. Experience implementing governance for mission-specific data standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Technical Proficiency:<\/strong> High proficiency in <strong>SQL, AWS<\/strong>, or other cloud-based tools.
