This senior technical position is responsible for providing technical security administration and engineering across a wide array of infrastructure, with a critical focus on ensuring <strong>compliance with CMMC 2.0, ISO 27k, and other regulatory frameworks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Location:<\/strong> Remote, United States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Salary Range:<\/strong> Typically between <strong>$90,000 &#8211; $125,000<\/strong> annually (compensation dependent on skills and experience).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>4 or more years<\/strong> of experience in information systems, cybersecurity compliance, or an IT Security Role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Key Focus:<\/strong> CMMC 2.0\/ISO 27k compliance, firewall\/network security, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Background:<\/strong> Requires a <strong>Compliance \/ Risk \/ Audit background<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bResponsibilities: Compliance, Engineering, and Incident Response<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe engineer ensures the technical security posture is strong, well-documented, and compliant, acting as an operational resource for key security tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Compliance &amp; Audit:<\/strong> <strong>Ensures compliance with CMMC 2.0, ISO 27k<\/strong> and other frameworks. Tracks and documents system security findings, audit results, and compliance reporting. Works with 3rd party auditors to maintain policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Vulnerability &amp; Risk Management:<\/strong> Perform <strong>vulnerability testing, remediation planning, risk analysis, security assessments<\/strong>, and make necessary updates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Security Administration:<\/strong> Provides technical security administrative duties for infrastructure related to <strong>firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection systems (IDS), vulnerability scanning, security monitoring tools, authentication, web filtering<\/strong>, and <strong>identity management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Network Protection:<\/strong> Reviewing network security settings and configurations against industry benchmarks. Define access privileges, control structures, and <strong>system hardening guidelines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Incident Response:<\/strong> <strong>Monitor, respond, investigate, and remediate security alerts and\/or incidents<\/strong>. Maintain and test the <strong>Information Security Incident Response Plan<\/strong>, and related procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>MSSP Liaison:<\/strong> Monitors <strong>SLAs for responsiveness and coverage<\/strong> and acts as a liaison with the <strong>Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bRequired Qualifications and Technical Environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe role requires a strong compliance background combined with foundational technical knowledge across multi-platform enterprise environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>4+ years<\/strong> experience in information systems, cyber security compliance, or IT Security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Required Background:<\/strong> <strong>Compliance \/ Risk \/ Audit background<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Certifications (Required\/Preferred):<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Security +<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>CISSP<\/strong> or <strong>CEH<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Zscaler cert<\/strong> is a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>MCP Windows Server 2022<\/strong> and <strong>MCP Windows 11<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Foundational Knowledge:<\/strong> A foundational understanding of security technologies leveraged to support a large-scale, multi-platform enterprise environment (<strong>Windows, Mac, Unix, and mainframe platforms<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Documentation:<\/strong> Familiarity with audit preparation documentation such as <strong>System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan of Action &amp; Milestones (POA&amp;M)<\/strong>, Certification and Accreditation packages, and Contingency Plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u200bThis is a full-time, remote (US-Remote) Information Systems Security Engineer role at Tyto Athene.
