The engineer&#8217;s primary function is to support, train, and mentor Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and Technical Support Specialists (TSSs) to drive regional technical self-reliance, while also participating in remote customer support rotations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Location:<\/strong> Remote, within a prescribed region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Salary Range:<\/strong> Min $96,000 to Max $155,200 annual equivalency (DOE).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Experience (Required):<\/strong> <strong>5 years<\/strong> servicing one or more medical imaging modalities, with <strong>in-depth knowledge of two or more products<\/strong> within a specific modality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Education:<\/strong> Bachelor&#8217;s Degree (BSEE or equivalent experience).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Focus:<\/strong> Second-level support for FSEs\/TSSs, complex troubleshooting, site audits, product installation, FMI completion, and conducting on-the-job training\/mentorship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bResponsibilities: Field Support, Training, and Escalation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe engineer serves as the regional technical expert, ensuring the competence of the service team and the reliability of customer systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Advanced Field Support:<\/strong> Provide <strong>on-site and phone support<\/strong> to FSEs and TSSs for complex installation, application, and technical issues. Provide <strong>second-level support<\/strong> in escalated issues, escalating to National Technical Support (NTS) per protocol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Training &amp; Mentorship:<\/strong> Define FSE training needs, provide supplemental technical training, and conduct <strong>on-the-job-training<\/strong> to develop senior regional FSEs. <strong>Mentor FSEs<\/strong> who have struggled in training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>System Monitoring &amp; Audit:<\/strong> Monitor sites experiencing abnormally high numbers of service calls and conduct <strong>site audits<\/strong> to uncover underlying causes. Monitor and facilitate the completion of all <strong>Field Maintenance Instructions (FMIs)<\/strong> within the region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Product Documentation &amp; Testing:<\/strong> Regularly review Field Service Memos and other technical documentation, ensuring region FSEs understand their content. Support <strong>Beta testing of FMIs<\/strong> and provide timely, accurate technical documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Remote Customer Support:<\/strong> May rotate through the Remote Service Center, utilizing product expertise and remote tools to diagnose\/resolve external customer issues on first contact to <strong>maximize FSE dispatch avoidance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bRequired Qualifications and Technical Expertise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe role mandates significant hands-on experience in the medical imaging field and strong interpersonal skills for mentoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Required Experience:<\/strong> <strong>5 years<\/strong> servicing one or more of the following modalities: <strong>Ultrasound, CT, MR, Nuclear, and\/or X-Ray\/Vascular<\/strong>, with in-depth knowledge of two or more products within a specific modality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Prior Experience (Required):<\/strong> Prior field <strong>Technical Support experience\/Canon Medical Systems in XR\/VL<\/strong> is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Technical Knowledge:<\/strong> Demonstrated applications knowledge with proven ability to resolve issues caused by basic <strong>technologist errors<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Soft Skills:<\/strong> Proven ability in developing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships, and strong mentorship capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Other:<\/strong> Must maintain active motor vehicle\/driver&#8217;s license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u200bThis is a full-time Technical Support Engineer role focusing on providing second-level and advanced technical service support for a specific medical imaging modality (Ultrasound, CT, MR, Nuclear, and\/or X-Ray\/Vascular) within a prescribed region.
