This role requires developing and executing custom exploits and providing clear, actionable risk assessments to both technical and executive audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Location:<\/strong> Remote in CA, AZ, MD, GA, or hybrid in several city offices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Salary Range:<\/strong> $107,500.00 &#8211; $170,500.00 annually (Higher in specific high-cost metropolitan areas).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Required Experience:<\/strong> <strong>3+ years of experience<\/strong> in offensive cybersecurity engineering, network penetration testing, threat emulation development, and web\/cloud application security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Citizenship:<\/strong> <strong>US Citizenship required<\/strong> (Government focus).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Travel:<\/strong> Ability to travel up to 10%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<strong>What You&#8217;ll Do: Attack Simulation and Tool Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe engineer&#8217;s day-to-day focuses on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities across the entire Viasat ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Web and Cloud Testing:<\/strong> Conduct comprehensive security assessments of large-scale <strong>web applications, APIs, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)<\/strong>, and supporting container infrastructure (<strong>Kubernetes, Docker<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Network Penetration Testing:<\/strong> Conduct gray-box and closed system penetration tests on Viasat network infrastructure, including customer-facing networks, firewalls, and core ISP systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Exploitation:<\/strong> <strong>Develop and execute custom exploits<\/strong> to demonstrate the impact of vulnerabilities, focusing on chaining multiple weaknesses into complex attack scenarios.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Research and Tools:<\/strong> Stay current with the latest security trends and exploits.
