It requires a strong combination of technical expertise in M365 core services and deep knowledge of security and compliance in a heavily regulated government cloud environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Location:<\/strong> <strong>Remote<\/strong> (United States)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>5 years<\/strong> of relevant experience and a Bachelor&#8217;s degree or equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Focus:<\/strong> Advanced M365 tenant administration, security and compliance management (Microsoft Purview\/Defender), PowerShell automation, and support for government-specific M365 environments (GCC\/GCC High).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200b<strong>Key Responsibilities: Security, Compliance, and Automation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe administrator ensures the M365 environment is stable, secure, and meets all government regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Advanced M365 Administration:<\/strong> Perform advanced administration of the M365 tenant and its core services, including user\/license management, security policies, and application access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Security &amp; Compliance Management:<\/strong> Manage security settings and compliance features using <strong>Microsoft 365 security and compliance centers<\/strong> to ensure adherence to government standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Automation:<\/strong> <strong>Develop and implement PowerShell scripts<\/strong> to automate repetitive operational tasks (onboarding\/offboarding, reporting, configurations).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Troubleshooting:<\/strong> Serve as a technical resource, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, and performing <strong>root cause analysis<\/strong> for recurring problems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Documentation &amp; Collaboration:<\/strong> Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials. Collaborate with security, development, and end-user teams to implement new features.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200b<strong>Required Skills and Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Core M365 Knowledge:<\/strong> Knowledge of core M365 services: <strong>Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Identity Management:<\/strong> Experience with <strong>Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory)<\/strong>, including hybrid environments, user provisioning, and <strong>conditional access policies<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Security &amp; Compliance:<\/strong> Experience with <strong>Microsoft Purview, Defender, and Information Protection<\/strong>, with an understanding of data governance and government compliance standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Government Cloud:<\/strong> Experience with <strong>GCC or GCC High tenants is often required<\/strong> due to specific security and compliance needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Scripting:<\/strong> Mandatory experience in <strong>PowerShell for automating administrative tasks<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u200bAkamai is seeking a Systems Administrator II to join its IT Support team.
