This position focuses on the administration and support of <strong>hybrid on-premises and cloud-based identity platforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Location:<\/strong> <strong>Telework\/Hybrid<\/strong> (Can work from anywhere within the state of Washington).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Salary Range:<\/strong> <strong>$88,332 \u2013 $118,800<\/strong> Annually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Focus:<\/strong> Core Active Directory concepts (GPO, Replication, Schema), Azure Entra ID, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), PowerShell automation, and vulnerability remediation within a public sector, mission-driven environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bEssential Duties: Hybrid Identity Management and Automation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe administrator\u2019s primary duties involve the lifecycle management of user accounts and authentication services across the hybrid environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Active Directory Administration:<\/strong> Perform ongoing maintenance, administration, and operational support for core Active Directory concepts (Domains, Forests, OUs, Group Policy, Schema, Replication, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Azure Entra ID &amp; Cloud Services:<\/strong> Perform ongoing maintenance and administration of the <strong>Azure Entra ID hybrid identity infrastructure<\/strong>. Manage, configure, and troubleshoot <strong>Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)<\/strong> and enforce security through <strong>Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>IAM:<\/strong> Manage identity and access management by creating, modifying, auditing, and <strong>de-provisioning standard and elevated accounts<\/strong>, service accounts, and security groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Automation:<\/strong> Automate administrative tasks and processes using <strong>PowerShell scripting<\/strong> to improve efficiency and consistency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Security &amp; Compliance:<\/strong> Partner with cybersecurity to remediate vulnerabilities using <strong>GPOs and PowerShell<\/strong>. Support server operating systems and virtual desktops (VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop) for compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bRequired Qualifications and Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Experience (4-Year Rule):<\/strong> Four years of progressively responsible IT experience (or Bachelor\u2019s degree).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Identity Experience (Mandatory):<\/strong> At least <strong>one year<\/strong> of professional experience within the past five years working with <strong>Microsoft Active Directory or Azure Microsoft Entra ID<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Windows Server Experience (Mandatory):<\/strong> At least <strong>two years<\/strong> of technical experience within the past five years in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of <strong>Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or later<\/strong> in a professional enterprise environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Scripting (Mandatory):<\/strong> A minimum of <strong>one year<\/strong> of hands-on experience within the past five years developing and executing <strong>Microsoft PowerShell scripts<\/strong> for automation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u200bPreferred Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u200b<strong>Advanced Experience:<\/strong> Five or more years of experience in enterprise deployment of Windows Server Operating systems within Active Directory environments (design, installation, configuration, administration).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Cloud:<\/strong> Two or more years of experience supporting <strong>Microsoft Azure<\/strong> or comparable cloud providers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u200b<strong>Certifications:<\/strong> Certifications related to Microsoft technologies are highly desirable (<strong>Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, PowerShell Automating Administration<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u200bThe Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator &#8211; Journey to maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the department\u2019s enterprise identity systems across all facilities statewide.
