This role oversees the project management, planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of complex <strong>Research projects<\/strong> (Applied Research) and drives cross-functional execution across R&amp;D, New Product Development, and Lifecycle Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> <strong>Lexington, Massachusetts, United States of America<\/strong> (Hybrid working, must be located in Lexington, MA).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>3+ years<\/strong> of experience successfully managing and delivering an <strong>R&amp;D technical workstream<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> <strong>STEM degree<\/strong> (BS in Engineering or Science discipline); MS preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Certification (Preferred):<\/strong> Project management certification (<strong>CAPM, APM, PMP<\/strong>, or equivalent).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Industry Preference:<\/strong> Prior experience <strong>developing medical devices strongly preferred<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities: Scientific Delivery and Governance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The manager is responsible for marrying technical delivery with the strict compliance and governance requirements necessary in the medical device sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Project Delivery:<\/strong> Consistently project manage and deliver R&amp;D projects <strong>on time within the agreed scope and budget<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Detailed Planning:<\/strong> Create <strong>detailed work plans<\/strong> that identify and sequence activities and establish the required resources (time, money, capital equipment).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cross-Functional Integration:<\/strong> Work with cross-functional project teams (Biomedical, Materials Science, User Insights) to ensure workstreams are <strong>appropriately planned and integrated into master schedules<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Risk &amp; Issue Management:<\/strong> <strong>Proactively identify and mitigate project risks<\/strong>. Escalate appropriately to ensure the timely resolution of identified issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compliance Management:<\/strong> Manage compliance to both <strong>Design Control<\/strong> and Business processes, including preparation for White Paper reviews and ensuring rigorous adherence to the <strong>Applied Research governance process<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PMO Support:<\/strong> Support the PMO to <strong>develop and enhance project management tools, processes, and systems<\/strong> for consistency and efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Skills &amp; Experience: Technical Depth and Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Success requires a strong technical background, experience in a regulated environment, and effective communication skills within a complex organizational structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Domain Experience:<\/strong> <strong>3+ years<\/strong> managing R&amp;D technical workstreams.
