This leader will manage an existing team of security engineers, design and implement security solutions, and oversee the day-to-day functionality of the company\u2019s enterprise security controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> <strong>Remote<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>6 years<\/strong> of IT experience; <strong>2 years<\/strong> of direct people management experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Certifications Preferred:<\/strong> <strong>CISSP, CISM,<\/strong> or equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focus:<\/strong> Leading security initiatives, managing security operations tools (SIEM, EDR\/XDR), Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security (AWS\/Microsoft 365).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities: Leadership, Controls, and Strategy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The manager is responsible for both the technical state of the security infrastructure and the development of the cybersecurity team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Team Leadership:<\/strong> Lead an existing team of security engineers, managing <strong>workload, staffing requirements, project assignments<\/strong>, and providing <strong>coaching and professional development<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Security Architecture &amp; Implementation:<\/strong> <strong>Design, architect, and implement solutions<\/strong> to strengthen the corporate security posture. Develop technology strategies for long-term growth and sustainability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Security Operations Management:<\/strong> Direct oversight and management of core security technologies, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SIEM<\/strong> (Security Information and Event Management)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>EDR\/XDR<\/strong> (Endpoint\/Extended Detection and Response)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data Protection, Cloud,<\/strong> and other IT security controls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vulnerability Management (VM):<\/strong> Oversee all phases of VM, including <strong>scanning, reporting, and remediation tracking<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cloud Security:<\/strong> Manage the company&#8217;s cloud security controls<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">\u00a0across\u00a0<strong>AWS and Microsoft 365<\/strong><\/span> to ensure secure access and data protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vendor Management:<\/strong> Collaborate with vendors providing security services to ensure alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reporting:<\/strong> Establish and track <span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><strong>KPIs,<\/strong>\u00a0and provide senior management with reports<\/span> on the state of enterprise security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Qualifications: Technical Operations &amp; Leadership<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Success requires hands-on technical experience in operations, particularly with modern detection and response platforms, combined with proven leadership ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> 6 years in IT, with 2 years in direct people management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cybersecurity Operations Experience:<\/strong> Experience in cybersecurity operations and incident response, including utilizing platforms like <strong>SIEM, Cloud Security, IDS\/IPS, EDR, WAF, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Intelligence applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leadership Skills:<\/strong> Excellent leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills (ability to present complex material in plain language).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Environment:<\/strong> Ability to multitask, manage projects, and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preferred Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Industry:<\/strong> PBM \/ <strong>healthcare \/ regulated market company experience<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leadership:<\/strong> Experience interfacing with executive-level leadership and leading teams in a <strong>fully remote environment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Certification:<\/strong> Information security certification (<strong>CISSP, CISM<\/strong>) is strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Therapeutics (a PBM) is seeking an IT Manager &#8211; Cybersecurity Engineering &amp; Operations to ensure the safety and security of its technology systems.
