This role is fully remote, client-facing, and has a <strong>strong focus on automation<\/strong> using tools like Ansible to streamline support tasks and drive continuous improvement in Linux environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> Boston, MA, or <strong>Remote<\/strong> (Must be a <strong>US Citizen<\/strong> working within the US borders).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Base Salary:<\/strong> <strong>$70,000 &#8211; $85,000 USD<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focus:<\/strong> Automation (Ansible), RHEL administration, Cloud management (AWS\/Azure), and client engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities: Automation, Cloud, and Root Cause Analysis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The administrator is expected to own their work and proactively seek opportunities for efficiency and co-innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Automation:<\/strong> Support and maintain automated <strong>Linux and application patching<\/strong> using <strong>Ansible<\/strong>. Monitor automation performance and drive continuous improvement through tool-building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Administration:<\/strong> Administer users, groups, and permissions, as well as <strong>volume groups and logical volumes<\/strong> on <strong>AWS and Azure<\/strong> virtual machines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cloud &amp; Networking:<\/strong> Troubleshoot software, network connectivity, and <strong>DNS configuration<\/strong> (including NetworkManager and DHCP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Analysis &amp; Improvement:<\/strong> Perform <strong>root cause analysis (RCA)<\/strong> in collaboration with application and delivery teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Client Facing:<\/strong> Meet with Apiphani stakeholders and <strong>external clients<\/strong> to develop relationships and foster co-innovation opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shift Work:<\/strong> Requires <strong>one or two monthly weekend work events<\/strong> (day or overnight) and occasional evening work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Skills &amp; Experience:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful candidate must have extensive hands-on experience with the RHEL family of operating systems and be comfortable in a professional 24\/7 environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> <strong>3+ years<\/strong> of hands-on systems engineering and administration experience, with <strong>heavy emphasis on Linux Server platforms<\/strong> and associated technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Linux Distribution:<\/strong> Extensive experience in the <strong>RHEL, CentOS, or Alma\/Rocky Linux<\/strong> environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Automation:<\/strong> <strong>Practical Knowledge of how to use ad-hoc as well as playbooks for Ansible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cloud:<\/strong> Comfort in cloud environments (<strong>AWS and\/or Azure<\/strong>) and knowledge of how to manage virtual machines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical Depth:<\/strong> Solid understanding of <strong>IPv4 networking<\/strong> and <strong>RHEL CLI<\/strong>.
