SAIC<\/strong> is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer<\/strong> to support the Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) RDT&E program<\/strong>. This role is focused on migrating and maintaining mission-critical systems in the Government Azure cloud (IL2 environment)<\/strong>, requiring strong skills in automation and security compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, 100% Remote<\/strong> position. The target salary range is $40,001 – $80,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core Duties: GovCloud Migration and Automation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The engineer will work within an Agile team, focusing on lifting on-premises systems into a highly secure, regulated Azure environment and automating post-migration management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Cloud Migration:<\/strong> Participate in the migration of on-premises systems to the Gov Azure cloud (IL2 environment)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • System Administration:<\/strong> Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based systems<\/strong> in Azure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation:<\/strong> Automate system administration tasks using Ansible<\/strong> and other software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Networking & Containers:<\/strong> Implement and maintain secure network configurations. Manage and deploy containerized applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Compliance:<\/strong> Contribute to the overall security posture and adhere to security policies, maintaining compliance<\/strong> with relevant regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Agile & Documentation:<\/strong> Collaborate with team members in an Agile<\/strong> development environment and create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Clearance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This position has strict requirements regarding U.S. citizenship, clearance level, and foundational certifications in cloud and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Clearance (Mandatory):<\/strong> Must currently hold a Secret clearance<\/strong> with the ability to acquire and maintain an Active Top Secret<\/strong> clearance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Citizenship:<\/strong> Candidate must be a US Citizen<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Certifications & Education:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Security+ certification<\/strong> required prior to the first day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Demonstrated completion of AZ-104 learning modules or course materials<\/strong> (proof required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science and two (2) years of related experience, or additional experience in lieu of a degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Technical Proficiency:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Proven experience with Azure and cloud systems<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux<\/strong> operating systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Demonstrable experience with Ansible automation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Solid understanding of networking principles<\/strong> and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Desired Experience:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          • Experience with container technologies<\/strong> (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
